There is a wait so long

 "Oh, don't go putting off Odin so. He needs you more than ever," Mia told Shelly as they were out for some last-minute things for the book shop. It was the least Mia could do. Make the shop just a wee bit cozier. 

Of course, it was good to barter with this local shop too. They ended up with several pillows. Some they were going to sell. They loaded down Mia's little SOUL KIA. Before she could start the car, she got a call on her cell. It was the pub. She knew the phone number looked familiar.

The bartender told her to come to fetch her blokes. They would be closing soon.

"Looks like your Odin got himself in a fix with Stu," Mia mentioned.

"Your Stu?" Shelly smirked back. "How could that be?"

"Oh, you know how easy it is with those two," Mia backed out of the parking place and headed toward the pub. "What have you done to easy-going Odin?"

"Me?" Shelly looked at her a bit frantic.

"You better marry that bloke," Mia informed her. "I don't think he'll behave until you do."

Of course, Shelly looked into traffic with a straight lip. It was as if Mia was making shit up.

"Oh, you spinster, you." Mia shook her head and kept driving, but Shelly wouldn't budge. She was in a fret. Sure the fall temps were cooling the night but Shelly was steaming. 

"You can not make time stand still," Mia went on to say when she pulled up to a space on the street near the pub. Again Shelly said nothing as she got out and slammed the car door as if she was making an effort to be furious.

"Now, be nice. He is your man." Mia had her hands on her hips as she watched Shelly march off to war. Shelly was fuming and seldom ever forgetting. But when they got there they could hear someone shouting into the microphone on stage the Pixie's "Here comes your man!" and of course, it was Odin who had some how left his shirt on the floor. Stu wasn't far behind playing air guitar.
