Am I bothering you?

The clasp of thunder awoke Odin early on. Maybe that's what it was to give him such a rough start. Of course, it was raining. Which was pleasant. He'd missed those rainy days. Except they were meant to be in bed with his love and a cup of tea and possibly a dream of some sort of Taylor Swift song without the drama. Sigh. If only.

No, there was something going on in the mix. He just didn't know what it could be. Of course, he fell back into a heavy slumber and by the time he awoke again, there was Shelly with pink, or was it orange? HAIR.

"What's going on?" He looked at her wide-eyed. What had he missed? He went to make tea while she told him it was nothing.

"Are you sure?" He was worried. She was a little more down than usual, but then he was used to loving his down and out Shelly. "Is something happening?"

"Why would there be something happening?" She looked up at him as if she was testing him now with her hands on her hips. Yes, she was like one of those little doggies you carried in a purse. She needed to be well taken care of, for sure. Although, he really didn't have the means to do so. After all, he was just a working bloke who tried to keep his bills to a minimum.

"Oh, I dunno, weren't you just groaning last night about some book you can't stand that Mia wants to promote?" He winced trying to remember the title. "WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING?"

"Don't get me started." She took his tea. "Let's forget it. Shall we?"

He nodded as he went to butter toast for her and put a bit of strawberry jam with a little cookie butter to make breakfast sweet. They planted themselves on the sofa while she was dressed for work and he was only slumming in his loose summer shorts.

"What time did you get  up?" He wanted to know with a wince, to examine this new look of hers. She'd cut her bangs short. He did wonder if she was in the right profession.

"Oh, who knows," she shrugged as carefree which was absolutely unusual.

"So any word about Kate and her fellow?" He decided to ask after a sip of sweet milk tea.

"Now why would you bring her up?" She snarled as if she hadn't trained him well after all.

"You go on and on about how important she is to you-"

"Well, am I important to her?" She looked at him with her eyes wide open. "Evidently not."

"Right," he nodded vowing to never bring it up again. He continued with breakfast that he'd laid out on the coffee table. Their convenient dining of course, in his small space.

And then it commenced like a delayed response of some kind. It was as if they were locked into the wifi after all. As if it was a normal frequency.

She practically pinched his nipple between her forefinger and thumb. Odin spilled a little tea on himself from her surprise. It was as if she was on something. She kissed him hard pushing him down on the couch.

If only he knew when her sexual signals were coming. Of course, he might be late for work, but if she was in the mood...of course, he'd go with it.

  2. This is so cozy: "He'd missed those rainy days. Except they were meant to be in bed with his love and a cup of tea and possibly a dream of some sort of Taylor Swift song without the drama. Sigh. If only." And then bursts in Shelly with her orange hair! I immediately thought of Harley, of course. And just as with her, the dye seemed to bring about a personality change in Shelly. Not that Odin is complaining! ๐Ÿงก
